Met your son in Cambodia!

Hello there. My daughter and I are visiting Phnom Penh and volunteering at an orphanage run by a Cambodian member of the church. She is raising the children in the church. They all love the elders. This morning our way to watch general conference we saw the elders riding their bikes. I thought you might enjoy the video I made. Your son says it will not scare you haha and I hope not. My son served in Malaysia where he rode a bike in similar Kinds of conditions. Your son also said you wish you could be in Cambodia. If you are interested in volunteering at the orphanage, let me know. These children are the sweetest and the people are so kind. We go home tomorrow. Your son is very outgoing and fun. Xoxox

Goodbye my blender. Goodbye my friend. You have been the one. You have been the one for me.

Touched my heart, touched my soul!

HELLO EVERYONE HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY I AM FEELING QUITE FANTASTIC!

It has been another eventful week down over here in my area of Tuek Laak and I am just loving serving over here with Elder Hunt he is the great companion.

I would just like to share my favorite experience of this week with all of you. This is a story of my favorite brethren named Sou. He has just received the sweet blessing of baptism, but he helps us teach every other day with his beloved girlfriend Lyda. And one night thins week he asked us "Hey, what are you guys doing tomorrow night?" and we were like "probably just finding new poeple to teach because we got nothing" and he was like "sweet, see you tomorrow. We'll go find old members and help bring them back" HOW COOL IS HE! He is my best friend and I love him more than anyone in the whole world.

There was a great and splendid party for the Cambodian New Year this week which made me able to see the great and wonderful culture of these my people. I love to see all the games they play and dances they do.

Well, no I give you a TRANSFER ALERT!: My now great companion Elder Hunt will be leaving this great area after just 4 weeks here, and I will stay after being here for a wonderful 4 months and a half. My new companion will be Elder Johnny Ros from Syracuse, New York. This will be a fun and interesting and Khoic transfer.

I love you and so much you beloved friends of mine. God bless you.

WE ARE WARRIORS!

Salesmen of North-Eastern Pennsylvania, I ask you once more rise and be worthy of this historical hour.

As you all know, my time has been spent doing nothing but finding people to teach. Well I'll have you all know that it is paying off. I would like to share with you one experience I had this week:

Elder Hunt and i were walking down the street. We see 3 dudes sitting at a table outside a house, just playing on the computer. So we go over and just talk about computers for a little bit. "So how many gigs does your computer have? Wooooow that's a lot of gigs!" is how the conversation went, if I remember correctly.

Well, we invited them to come to our English class. One of them, named Jarod, also was interested in the other side of our teachings, The Church of Jesus Christ. So we gave him a pamphlet.

Then English class rolls around. Jared shows up. He goes into class. Every English class, we share a spiritual thought. Today it was on "forgiveness". Something Jesus Christ was and is really good at.

Afterwards, Jared walked up to me with tears in his eyes. He said that 2 months ago, his girlfriend was stolen by his best friend (people, don't steal your friends girlfriends). He said he hasn't figured out how to cure himself from the anger and disgust and pity for himself he always feels now. And, quoting him, he said "I feel like God has talked to me today and told me I need to forgive."

He is now learning, and because he has a willing heart, the Gospel is making a freaking sweet change in his life. I'm super happy for him. I'm super happy for you that you got to read this.

Now go, and spread the joy of my message with all oyu cross.

And remember, No revolution is worth anything unless it can defend itself. Some people will tell you salesman is a bad word. They'll conjure up images of used car dealers, and door to door charlatans. This is our duty to change their perception. I say, salesmen and women of the world... unite. We must never acquiesce, for it is together... TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL. WE MUST NEVER CEDE CONTROL OF THE MOTHERLAND! FOR IT IS TOGETHER THAT WE PREVAIL!

Paper Boy

Yo, have you guys ever really thought about a microwave? How funny is that? We open up this box, put in cold food, press a button, and then nothing happens. It just spins. And then all of the sudden our food is hot HAHHAHAHAHAHHA

This week was fun. Just more looking for people who want to learn. We found people this week!  So we are starting from the begging with people. It is always so fun starting fresh with newbies, because they just don't know anything and you get to tell them everything! And it is NEW to them! Woot!

I am still doing a ton of talking to people on the streets. I just try and see if there is anything I can do to make their lives better/easier. If they want to learn, it's a bonus and they'll be like way happy later on.

Please have a stellar day

Elder SLAVENS!

Tick tock on the clock like the party never stop

Heyo ballers. Whats schoolin in the yard? Itz just been a hip hop hippin week out here in yo home boys playin field which is AKA also known as Cambodia, BABY!

But actually this week was hilarious. Like, I'm not really sure what has happened in the last couple weeks, but the missionary work that I have been doing has just evolved. I've tried really hard to meet the members of the church here to strengthen them, but they just don't have time in the schedules. So that means we have just been hitting the streets all day everyday to find people who want to learn.

And does that mean we automatically find success and everyone we talk to wants to learn from us? NOPE. Actually, no one has wanted to learn yet hahahaha. No one wanted to learn from the prophets in the Book of Mormon or Bible either. So I just keep doin what I'm doin cuz thats what I'm suppozed to do.

To get in with the members though, we went to an activity that the whole country put on at our church building. It was a giant church wide cook off. And there was a giant dance party. AND I DIDN'T EVEN DANCE ONCE!!! WHAT HAVE I BECOME!!!!! JK I danced as cleaned up trash. But the activity was just like a good ole fashioned drive in night. But what were were lacking were some good ole cotton candy things made by the Hanna's.

Elder Miah packed up and flew to England. I miss him a ton. My new companion is WAY cool! His name is Elder Hunt. He wears glasses.

Yesterday we taught a lesson on charity to  a family in our ward, and then in the middle of the lesson the dog walked in and started chewing on my shoes which were outside and the dad stood up, walked over to the dresser, grabbed a hanger, and started whipping the dog while saying "How am I supposed to have charity when I've got a dog like this?!"

So please remember charity this week. No matter how stupid you think your dog is.

Love y'all.

When all you do is talk to random people on the streets all day, you find people like this who grab you, pull you in, and whisper to you "I love little kids"

Taking this bawler to the airport so he can go to Hogwarts

My new companion, who is 1.85 meters tall. Wow! He is a selfie pro!

His bike, however, did not want to work as well. His chain broke like 12 thousand times.

Our investigator on the left, named "Two One", and my best friend Suo in the middle, giving me a gift of fruit with a heart stabbed into it. So sweet!

This was the cook off. I had a back stage pass.

This is my zone, and I made everyone take a bike pic. Bikes are cool!

Missionaries spotted at BK. Eat fresh. Have it your way. I'm lovin' it.

USE THE CHAIR!

That is a direct quote from Shrek, everyone.

I learned a fact this week. I learned that the shortest people in the world as a whole are Cambodians.

This week was hilarious. We took time to call every single member, and call every single less active member who hasn't come to church in forever. And none of them had time to meet us. I want to meet the member so I can see if there is any way I can help. I also want to pump them up to share the gospel with their friends. I know that is the most effective way to do missionary work. BUT NOT IF THE MEMBER WON'T MEET YOU. So me and my adorable Cambo Compy hit the streets and just talked to randos all day everyday. Lol it was rough. But way fun.

The highlight of the week was when I thought our investigator was breaking up with us. His name is Two One. He stopped calling us and he skipped church a couple times. I would call him and he wouldn't answer. So I thought he was breaking up with us, and I fell into a state of depression. I KNOW those of you who's lovers break up with you have felt the same way.

But listen to this. This is something else I'm sure a lot of you have experienced. He wasn't actually breaking up. He just got a job at Dominoes pizza. DARN YOU DOMINOES!!!! So he didn't actually want to break up, but he is just a busy pizza dude now. But while I was in my state of depression because I THOUGHT he wanted to break up, I would just lay on the floor and sing "For Good" from Wicked to myself.

I'll be getting a new companion named Elder hunt from San Diego, California soon. So watch out for pictures. I'm gonna miss Elder Miah because he is aweosme. He's going to merry old England tomorrow. I think he's flying a nimbus 2000 to get there.

See yah later, farts.
Me sending off this tall drink of water

My companion would be perfectly fine in this world if both his arms got chopped off

And I would be the one to chop them off

But i had to pass on the mask, just as every great hero does.

I loved discovering my companions face as he cleans his ears

and being able to re-discover it over and over again everyday

We also taught a member how to make salad this morning

Who knew? On the plane we flew.

Hehehehhehehehehehe

On Wednesday I dropped of ole' Elder Grimaud to pick up my new compy Elder Miah. And now I just want to tell you a little  bit about him.

Elder Miah was born in Cambodia, but moved to Thailand 10 years ago. He lived in Thailand for 10 years, where he also learned Laos (shout out to Mischief. Elder Miah is currently teaching me how to sing in Laos). He was baptized two years ago, and he wasn't actually called to serve in Cambodia. he was called to serve in the London, south mission. So I am actually only his companion for one more week. He heads to London next week.

His English is one of the funniest things of my life. His favorite song to sing is "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa, but he only knows the first four words "Who knew? On the plane we flew" and he sings it over and over and over.

He is super ripped, but he looks at himself in the mirror, and then he looks at me and says "I am so small and my face is so old"

I am not sure what is going to happen to me next week when Elder Miah flies off to good ole' Britain, but I'll let you know next week what happens to me. Have fun all of you trinkers in the colonies!

Love,
Elder Slave

I spy something (or someone) white... Can you find it? It might be hard to find because there's not much white.

Lol
